These masks are fully lined with a soft fabric and openings at the elastic adjustable ties. The openings are designed so you can insert additional filter. I’ve put a wire at the nose bridge for contouring.
These items are all produced in Northern California (Marin)
The hemp canvas version (not shown) has been donated and shipped to hospitals in California, Boston, and New York and essential workers in California. The feedback has been that they are the most comfortable and effective of all donated masks. Masks donated to hospitals include a filter. This is not available to the general public due to limited supplies.
The fabrics vary in thickness. Some are cotton, denim twill, hemp. All can be hand washed. Cotton and denim can be machine washed and dried. Other fancy decorative fabrics should be gently soaked in warm water with mild soap, patted with towel and laid flat to dry. Fabrics have been steamed with an iron. A suggestion for a quick daily preventative measure would be to leave in sun for 10 min. As with all masks the medical advice is to wash your hands before putting them on and off, and to wash them after use.
Small size approximately
5 1/2 width nose bridge to chin
7 1/2 length
Medium size is approximately
6”width at bridge to under chin
2”width at ears
I have seen through research that layering different fabric contents has been found to create a matrix or labyrinth which can trap virus, which is why I created the lining and outer layer in separate fabrics. I make no claims that these masks provide protection. They are made to accommodate people who wish to comply with local guidelines to wear fabric masks as an additional method to reduce risk of transmission in conjunction with hand washing and social distancing.
